Meet Nicole

“There is a natural wisdom in the human body to inherently heal itself and naturopathy has the power to unlock this potential. I’ve seen it in myself, I’ve seen it in my clients, and I want to help you see it for yourself.”

Having experienced my own hormonal health challenges, and seeing first-hand the benefits of naturopathy, I am true believer in the natural wisdom of the human body to inherently heal itself.

In my practice I combine evidence-based research and traditional naturopathic principles together with diet and lifestyle changes and the natural healing properties of plants, minerals and nutrients, to empower women to take control of their hormones and achieve the physical, emotional, and social health they are looking for.

I studied Naturopathy, Herbal and Nutritional Medicine at the Southern School of Natural Therapies and proudly hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) Degree.

I am a professional member of the Australian Natural Therapists’ Association (ANTA), the Naturopath and Herbalists Association of Australia, the Australian Complementary Medicine Practitioner Associations Council (CMPAC), and the Australian National Register of Accredited Natural Therapists (ANRANT).

My approach

I see it that I am here as a empathetic ear, a voice of worldly insight and a steady guiding hand. No woman should feel unheard and I want everyone I work with to be believed and supported.

My role is to understand the intricate interplay of hormone, diet and lifestyle factors in each patient and offer relevant knowledge and resources that enable them to manage their own health and wellbeing independently.

In practice I work hand-in-hand with each woman, aiming to integrate with their existing doctors and specialists wherever possible, because I find that a truly integrative approach can make a real and lasting difference.

I also often employ functional and routine pathology to gather invaluable insights into the root cause of an illness or imbalance. This allows me to fully understand the specific circumstances of each woman and provide the most accurate and effective advice.

At home

I’m usually not one to talk about myself, I’m more the one to keep it professional and focused on the task at hand. But since you asked; when I'm not consulting, you’ll probably find me pottering around my home and garden in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, blending herbal teas and hanging out with my husband and our beloved labrador Lucy.

If I’m not at home you might cross paths with me hunting out the best cafes, restaurants and health food stores nearby. I love good food – who doesn’t! – as well as camping and travelling. I also enjoy personal training, pilates and walks with Lucy to keep fit and active.

Restoring hormonal harmony naturally

An integrative approach

Working side-by-side with doctors and specialists to achieve the best possible outcomes, I consciously combine the traditional naturopathic principles and latest evidence-based research.

Practical and considered

I take a considered and tailored approach to each individual because practical solutions and realistic treatment plans create sustainable and achievable results.

Educate to empower

Sustainable long term outcomes come from empowering women with hormone education, dedicated coaching and counselling, and useful resources and knowledge.

A simple, evidence-based approach that achieves results

Initial online or face-to-face consultation and plan.

We begin by exploring your whole health and reviewing recent test results. I dig deep into your situation and make realistic and achievable recommendations that you can start right away.

Apply naturopathic remedies and lifestyle changes.

After the initial consultation you'll have a detailed treatment plan for diet and lifestyle changes, a prescription for naturopathic supplements, and potentially a referral for further testing.

Follow-up review and holistic plan for ongoing treatment.

After 3-4 weeks we will meet again to talk about these first steps, review any test results, and discuss your ongoing goals. By this time we will have a good idea of how long it will take to see results.

Understanding my approach to naturopathy

Hormone and period problems are sensitive and often difficult to talk about. I want to get to know you and find a genuine connection so that I can offer tailored one-to-one support that makes a lasting difference to your life.

I’m available face-to-face at Gisborne Health Essentials (43 Brantome Street, Gisborne, Victoria), or if you’re further afield (or just prefer to meet online) we can meet virtually via Zoom, FaceTime or by phone Australia-wide.

The initial consultation

Working with me starts with your initial consultation, where we will discuss your goals, medical history and current nutrition and lifestyle. From here I can identify the major changes required so you can implement these prior to your follow-up consultation.

Follow-up consultations

As a minimum, I recommend at least two follow up appointments over three months for most clients, but some more complex conditions such as endometriosis may require 4-6 appointments. Many of my clients continue to work with me for longer to keep working on their health goals.

An individual health journey

Healing is never linear and each person responds to treatment differently. The length of time that we will work together will vary depending on how you respond to treatment and how long you’ve had your health issues. At your follow-up appointment I will be able to give you an estimate of the recommended timing and frequency of the appointments.

The “Whole of You” hormone rebalance package

If you would like a more structured package, I offer a customised 4-month hormone rebalance package that includes regular 1:1 consultations, functional and routine pathology, supplement allowance, exclusive pricing and access to my dispensary, ongoing support and guidance outside of consultations and loads of additional resources.

Typical steps:

  • initial consultation
  • functional testing or further investigations (if needed)
  • three weeks later follow-up consultation, then
  • follow-up appointments scheduled at 4-to-6-week intervals until you go onto a maintenance plan or complete your treatment.

You can generally expect your engagement to go for 3 to 6 months, with additional maintenance consultations if needed.

Please contact me for more information about the hormone rebalance package, or visit the services page for more specific information about treatment plans and pricing for specific conditions.
